Yea I made an mistake on buying it because of the pass through only, but with that being said this system will have you feel like you at the movies at the arcade or in the arena or any sport venue. 1200 watts of pure clear sound after two yrs there is no drop of quality, but i will be upgrading for the 1200watt 3D receiver for my newer tv. And this will be going in my garage but I can safely say that this HTIB is an incredible buy for who are on the budget like me.....

I am very happy with this purchase! I have only hooked up the 5 speakers so far and it works great! I would recommend this to any one and it was a good price too.

I owned this for five months before the receiver died. It's in what's called blinking-red-light-of-death mode which essentially means it is in current overload protection mode. I took extremely good care of this receiver. It was configured properly using the correct speakers/cabling for ohm rating, was never turned up above 40, it was never left on for long periods of time and there is zero dust accumulation within the unit.
It sounded great while I had it and I'm extremely disappointed that after 5 months it spontaneously died.

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (July 2010) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2009 and June 2010. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its July 2010 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com came closest.
